Private Sporting Club
Georgia
Tucked away amidst the rural landscape of South Georgia, this private sporting club resides as a sportsman’s retreat infused with Southern hospitality. The project began as a renovation; however, the team quickly realized the need for a new build to ensure structural integrity. Honoring the previous bucolic structures, the design team reimagined the original footprint for hospitality with modern design sensibilities. Beautiful materiality creates a strong connection between the land, architecture, and interiors. Hand-crafted masonry, carpentry, and lighting further reinforce the dedication to honoring the property’s history through quality craftsmanship.
With founding members based in Manhattan, the interiors needed to bridge further the gap between the sophisticated luxuries of the city and the bucolic nature of South Georgia. Modern photography and a few contemporary furniture pieces juxtapose the antique furnishings, capturing the spirit of the original structures while keeping them current with the modern day. The Founders’ Cabin and Airstream Village serve as guest lodging on the property, offering a unique sense of adventure without compromising privacy and comfort. The Recreation Garage provides these private spaces with communal areas that foster connectivity and leisure.

Throughout the main structures, beautiful materiality creates a strong connection between the land, architecture, and interiors.
